COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A Holly Hill man is in trouble with the law after Orangeburg County deputies arrested him for having narcotics during a burglary investigation. Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says while investigating a June 8 burglary on Santee Lumber Road in Santee, officers went to a suspect’s house and found a stolen .40 Glock pistol loaded with a full magazine, 200 grams of marijuana packaged for distribution, pill bottles containing 9.5 grams of crack cocaine, more than $1,300 cash, and paraphernalia used to sell narcotics. Deputies arrested Richard D. James and charged him with three different counts of possession, including intent of distribution and stolen firearm. James’ bond was set at $25,000 Friday morning. Previously, Terrance Durant and Antonio Mood were arrested in the June 8 burglary of the Santee Lumber Road residence.
