Rick Santorum returning to South Carolina

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum is heading back to South Carolina for a fundraiser to benefit the state Republican Party. The state GOP says the former Pennsylvania senator and presidential hopeful is headlining a party fundraiser happening Monday in Spartanburg. Organizers say the event is the state GOP’s kickoff event for the Upstate heading into the November general elections. Santorum placed third in South Carolina primary in January. He pulled out of the race for the GOP presidential nomination in April.
