Columbia police department unveiling new guns

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Top Columbia officials are holding a news conference to unveil new weapons for the police department.

Mayor Steve Benjamin and police Chief Randy Scott are making a stop at weapons maker FN Manufacturing on Wednesday.

Organizers say there will be instructors on hand, along with some demonstrations on the company’s firing range.
