Man found shot to death at Sumter apartments

SUMTER, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 25-year-old man was shot to death outside a Sumter County apartment complex.

Deputies told WIS-TV (http://bit.ly/NXqsDh ) that people living in the complex called 911 after hearing gunshots around 11 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say Kyle Eppling was found wounded near some trash bins. He died a short time later at the hospital.

Witnesses told deputies they saw a man run from the scene and get into a vehicle that sped away.

Deputies haven’t named any suspects or given a motive for the killing.
