SC Volunteers to Help Gulf Coast Residents

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Some South Carolinians are heading out of state to respond to another weather maker. The American Red Cross in the Columbia Region has deployed seven trained disaster volunteers to the Gulf Coast and Florida. They will be assisting in relief efforts associated with Hurricane Isaac. Currently, there are more than 1,500 volunteers responding from across the country along with 150 emergency response vehicles.
