Police Search for Suspected Hit and Run Driver

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — A female pedestrian is in an area hospital after Columbia Police say she was struck by an oncoming car while on the sidewalk. Authorities say the incident happened along Medical Park drive around 3 Sunday morning. Authorities say the suspect was allegedly seen driving a small white compact car, which drove off the road two times before hitting the pedestrian. Police allege the driver of the car never stopped to render aid to the victim, but instead continued driving toward Sunset Drive. The female victim remains in stable condition.
