McConnell to visit nursing homes throughout state

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Lt. Gov. Glenn McConnell is scheduled to travel to South Carolina’s nursing homes as part of his “Face of Aging” tour.
McConnell’s office says he is slated to be in Orangeburg on Tuesday to hold a forum at the Orangeburg County Council on Aging. The event is open to the public. McConnell is also slated to visit several facilities in the area.
His office says he’s making the tour to assess services for older residents across the state. He’s also taking feedback from seniors, caregivers and community leaders.
McConnell has already made stops in north-central South Carolina. In the coming months, he’s slated to visit other regions throughout the state.
