Columbia Issues Boil Water Advisory for Some Residents

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Some Columbia residents need to take an extra step in order to use their water. The city issued a boil water advisory Wednesday following a water main break. Officials say it could result in bacterial contamination. So, those living in the following areas are asked to boil their water vigorously before cooking or drinking: -Old Oak Drive -Woodcrest Drive -Green Tree Drive -Green Tree Circle -Green Cedar Drive Nearby residents, who have lost water or are experiencing low water pressure, are also advised to take precautions. The advisory is in effect until further notice.
