COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Parts supplier Watson Engineering is expanding operations in Anderson County and adding 85 jobs.
The South Carolina Commerce Department says the company is making a $6 million investment and buying a new building in Piedmont.
Chief financial officer Chris Douglas says demand has increased for the firm’s products. The company makes parts for laser cutting, robotic welding, stamping and powder coat painting.
The company opened in 2007 with a $7 million investment and 50 jobs.
The company expects the expansion to be complete by the end of October and hiring to begin in November.
