Oversight Committee to release SC Education Grade Monday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Monday, the SC Education Oversight Committee (EOC) will release new numbers on education in South Carolina, looking at how the state is measuring up in performance. The ratings, expected to be released Monday, will include, student reading proficiency, on-time graduation rates, workforce readiness of high school graduates, and At Risk schools (based on poor student achievement). According to the EOC, the new statistics are part of a report tracking South Carolina‘s progress toward meeting the 2020 Vision, an education goal established by the EOC in 2009.
