Fort Jackson’s Commanding General Suspended

FORT JACKSON, S.C. (WOLO/AP) – The commanding general of Fort Jackson has been suspended. The Army says Brig. Gen. Bryan Roberts was suspended in connection with charges of adultery and involvement in a physical altercation. A report did not specify who the general is accused of assaulting. Roberts assumed command in April 2012. Brig. Gen. Peggy Combs will serve as interim commander.
