Gamecocks Feeling Super

Columbia, SC (WOLO)–After rain halted last night’s game between Liberty and South Carolina, the Gamecocks and Flames resumed play Monday afternoon. Carolina began the day with a 4-2 lead when they added two runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to take a 6-2 advantage. Liberty added two more runs before Gamecock Closer Tyler Webb recorded the final out with a strike out of the Flame’s Justin Sizemore. First Baseman Kyle Martin was named the regional’s Most Outstanding Player. The Gamecocks now await the winner of the Chapel Hill regional. Florida Atlantic and the number 1 overall seed North Carolina face off in a winner-take-all game at 6pm.
