Claredon County Suspect in Custody

(WOLO) CLAREDON,S.C., — 31 year old Jeffrey Eady grew up in Claredon County and according to his father had been having trouble finding a job since he was released from prison back in November. Jeffrey’s 85 year old father, Leon Eady says he spoke with his son about two weeks ago when he noticed he’d begun acting differently. According to Leon, his son claimed nothing was wrong. No just 2 weeks later, Jeffrey sits behind bars accused of murdering three woman, one of the victims, his 77 year old cousin. Authorities say Eady had been on the run for two days before he was spotted by US Marshall’s in Bay County Florida Saturday, driving one of the victim’s cars. Officials say they attempted to stop Eady who led police on a short chase before crashing the car and taking police on a foot pursuit. Eady was extradited back to South Carolina Sunday morning. Tuesday Eady was set to have a bond hearing but waived that right. Eady remains in jail and under suicide watch. His next court date is still pending.
