Anderson City Council Proposes Dog Laws

(WOLO) ANDERSON,S.C., — If you want to stay out of the dog house you may need to live by a new set of rules in Anderson City. City council officials say they’ve received reports of 3 to 4 hundred dogs living in poor conditions. To change that they are hoping to pass a new ordinance that would not only limit residents from keeping their dogs tethered outside for more than 2 hours, but would also require the animals are given fresh water and shelter. Council is expected to discuss the proposal during Monday night’s meeting. If the proposal passes, violators could face a 1 thousand dollar fine or more. (Source: Associated Press)
