Atty. Gen. To Testify Regarding Affordable Care Act

Columbia, SC (Associated Press)-Attorney General Alan Wilson will testify at a Congressional hearing Wednesday morning regarding security concerns related to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Wilson was one of 13 Attorneys General who shared concerns about the Navigator program in a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Wilson will urge Congress to install proper safeguards to protect Americans’ most personal information when they consult with a Navigator.
The Attorneys General fear scammers may take advantage of unscreened Navigators and an untested federal data hub to commit fraud, identify theft and other crimes.
