COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) âone space€one space” A Columbia city park ranger has been suspended after he was accused of fondling two teenage girls. Police say 65-year-old Edwin Vincent was suspended Tuesday after officials learned he had been arrested Sept. 18 and charged with second-degree assault and battery. Police say in an incident report that two girls said Vincent told them he needed to perform breast exams to check for lumps and acne. The girls said he ordered them to take off their clothes and submit to the exam. Authorities say the alleged assault didn’t happen at a city park or while Vincent was working. Vincent has been released from jail on a $5,000 bond. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
