Richland County deputies arrest 10 people connected to a pre-planned fight

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies arrested 10 people connected to a pre-planned fight in the area of Southern Drive and Bluff Road.

Monday, October 26, around 5 p.m. in the afternoon, a deputy noticed several individuals surrounding vehicles and one was openly carrying a rifle.

The deputy activated their blue lights and called for backup.

Investigators say that all parties had agreed to meet at the location to fight over a previous dispute.

The altercation was beginning to escalate, as multiple parties were retrieving guns from their cars.

Deputies say they found five guns after a search of the vehicles.

All 10 suspects were charged with affray and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
