Finding Your Happy at the Fair

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., —
If you like free and the SC State Fair, this year you are in luck. The South Carolina State Fair Assistant General Manager, Nancy Smith says they are kicking off the 12 days of the state fair with a bunch of promotions that will make this experience a less expensive one.
While Military men and women and there spouses will be able to enter free every day, new this year children under the age of 5 will get free admission as well. Thursday October, 10th there is free parking, free admission for colleges students who present a college id, and entry into a free concert.
Smith says, after 144 years of the state fair they have to continue to keep things new and this year is no exception.
“we really try to keep the family oriented atmosphere of the fair alive. You can come in right off the bat and start having fun.”
That fun begins Wednesday at noon, as the gates open for the first day of the fair at the cost of one dollar.
