Harley-Davidson Recalling 29,000 Motorcycles

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CNN) – Harley-Davidson is recalling 29,000 motorcycles over a clutch problem.

It includes more than 25,000 touring motorcycles and nearly 4,000 softail CVO’s and trikes built between May 3rd and October 14th.
 

The company says the hydraulic clutch problem could make it difficult for riders to slow or stop and could cause an accident.

Riders are urged to stay off their bikes until they can be inspected by an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer.
 

The voluntary recall was issued while the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration was closed because of the government shutdown.
