Police: Man Shot in Reported Attempted Dog-Napping

COLUMBIA, S.C (WOLO)– Columbia Police say a man says he was shot trying to keep a group of people from stealing his dogs.

  A spokesperson for the department says at 2pm Monday afternoon a man saw three suspects attempting to steal one of his dogs from his home on Oakbrook Village Rd.

  Police says the man says he confronted the suspects when one of them shot him resulting in what investigators are calling a “non-life-threatening injury”.
