Richland deputies supporting Special Olympics race

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) âone space€one space” A bike race scheduled for the weekend is benefiting Special Olympics South Carolina. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is taking part in the Inaugural Bojangles Charity Bike Race on Saturday at Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia. The race starts at 9 a.m. The top adult and junior finishers get prizes, and proceeds benefit Special Olympics South Carolina. Sheriff Leon Lott says he supports Special Olympics because the organization provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults.
