Tea Party Express chair visiting Lowcountry

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The chairwoman of the Tea Party Express is visiting the South Carolina Lowcountry. The express group is the nation’s largest tea party political action committee. Amy Kremer plans a news conference asking that members of Congress sign a letter saying they will oppose any spending bill including funding for the federal health care act, sometimes known as Obamacare. Republican U.S. Senate candidate Nancy Mace is attending and State Sen. Lee Bright and Anderson businessman Richard Cash have also been invited. All three are opposing incumbent Lindsey Graham in next year’s GOP U.S. Senate primary in South Carolina.
