3 Charged in Branchville Fire Chief’s Murder

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – There’s a major break in the murder investigation of Branchville’s fire chief. The State Law Enforcement Division has confirmed Alan Oakley’s wife and two other women are charged in the case. Melody Oakley, Ann Anderson and Carrie Brown are all reportedly facing counts of murder and conspiracy. The three suspects remain behind bars at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center. Authorities say Alan Oakley died over the weekend after being stabbed in the neck. The case remains under investigation.
