Columbia hosting New Year’s Eve carnival

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — An ice skating rink in downtown Columbia is the place to find an afternoon and evening event this New Year’s Eve.

On Tuesday, Main Street ICE is hosting the WOW! New Year’s Eve Carnival. Organizers say there are rides, games, karaoke and food and drink vendors from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.

The skating rink itself is open until midnight on New Year’s Eve. Main Street ICE is open through Monday, Jan. 20.
