Disaster Declaration
Columbia, SC (WOLO)-Governor Haley has asked for a major disaster declaration in South Carolina. The state is estimated to have sustained $55 million dollars in damage, as a result of recent severe winter weather. If damage totals qualify for federal help, South Carolina could recoup money it spent during emergency and recovery operations. The last time a major disaster was declared following the December 2005 winter storm, by then Governor Mark Sanford.
