City of Columbia: William Holbrook Named New Police Chief

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The City of Columbia has announced the new Columbia Police Chief as William Holbrook. Holbrook is formerly of West Virginia. City Manager Teresa Wilson says quote, “He will make hard decisions and also deflect any glory.” Holbrook was the Chief of the Huntington, West Virginia Police department. The city conducted the search process over the last several months after then Police Chief Randy Scott announced he would be stepping down. Ruben Santiago was named interim chief, but Santiago resigned last Thursday. ABC Columbia news has a crew at the event and will bring you the latest online and on air.
