New Columbia Police Chief Sworn In

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– It’s official. The City of Columbia hosts a swearing in ceremony for new Columbia Police Chief William “Skip” Holbrook. Holbrook took the oath to become the city’s top cop Friday in the midst of a packed council chambers at City Hall. Holbrook is the fourth person to lead the Columbia Police Department, consisting of 500 men and women, within the last year. Holbrook comes to Columbia from Huntington, West Virginia, where he led a department of nearly 100 officers.
