Police investigate armed robbery near USC

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – The Columbia Police Department is investigating an attempted armed robbery around USC’s campus. Officers say three men in a white, four-door sedan approached a man who was walking in the 700 block of Pickens Street early Sunday morning. One of the suspects reportedly got out of the car and presented a gun. The victim claims he saw the weapon and bolted. Meanwhile, the three suspects were last seen driving toward Gervais Street. Nothing was taken, and the victim was not hurt during the incident.
