Glitch leads to pricey food choice

UNDATED (AP) – What was supposed to be a cheap bite at a Southern California fast-food restaurant has turned into a small fortune for some customers. About 150 people who ate at a Del Taco in Santa Paula this week were mistakenly charged thousands of dollars for burritos, tacos and soft drinks. One customer says he was surprised when he was charged $4,050 for one CrunchTada Pizza and two beef tacos. A spokesman for the chain tells the Ventura County Star the glitch affected ATM and credit-card transactions at one restaurant. He says all charges will be refunded.
