South Carolina Teacher of the Year

(WOLO) HORRY COUNTY, S.C., — A crowd full of hundreds of teachers and their family and friends waited o hours to find out who would be named South Carolina’s new teacher of the year. An honor that does not come easy. The South Carolina Department of Education visited each classroom to critique educators to find out what sets them apart from their other competitors. Wednesday night it was Jennifer Anisworth’s time to shine. The 34 year old Special Education teacher from Horry county says it’s her students that deserve the recognition for giving her the motivation to go above and beyond daily. ” it’s not about us, it’s about the kids. And it truly is about the our students. Our students shine everyday, they make me shine everyday and I love my job and I love what i do.”
