Biden Urges Graduates to Ignore ‘Cynics’

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The 47th Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, touted graduates at the University of South Carolina as being a ‘caring, competent and capable generation’ during the University’s commencement address. After meeting with state democrats during a private fundraising luncheon in downtown Columbia, Biden headed to the Colonial Life Arena to deliver the commencement address for USC’s graduation ceremony. He and University president, Dr. Harris Pastides, urged some 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students, ‘don’t listen to the cynics’ and ‘create new memories’ as they head out into the real world.
