Crews: Worker injured overnight at West Columbia plant
WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A man is in the hospital after getting stuck in a piece of machinery while at work. The incident was reported just before midnight Wednesday. Crews with the West Columbia Fire Department responded to the chicken processing plant off Sunset Blvd. They say a man was trapped in an auger. It took them about an hour and 50 minutes to free him. The man was then taken to Palmetto Richland. His condition is not known at this time.
