Poll shows many Americans want minimum wage to change

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CNN/WOLO) – Many americans are saying, “It’s time.”… 71% to be exact. They want to see a raise in minimum wage. That’s according to a new CNN Money poll. Here is how that number breaks down: 36% want to increase the hourly rate to $10.10. 19% would like to see a smaller increase. And 16% think it should be higher than $10.10 an hour. Right now, the federal minimum wage currently stands at $7.25 an hour.
