Consumer Recall: Fire Alarm Base

Washington, DC (WOLO)– Siemens is recalling audible fire alarms. According to CPSC, the fire alarm base can fail to sound an alarm, posing a risk of personal injury and property damage. This recall involves the SBGA-34 audible base that is affixed to ceiling-mounted smoke detectors in order to sound an alarm when the fire alarm system is activated. The audible base has part number S54370-F13 and date codes 0113 through 2314 in a WWYY format printed on a white label on the back of the unit part affixed to the wall. “MODEL SBGA-34″ is printed on a blue label also affixed to the back of the device. The base is off-white and measures about 6 inches in diameter.
