Man Killed in Crash During Florence Police Chase

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a police chase in Florence has ended in a wreck that killed a man not involved in the original incident. Police told local media that the suspect being chased had just fired shots at his ex-girlfriend’s home around 5:10 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators say as an officer tried to stop 19-year-old Kyeon Glover, his car ran off the road and into bushes, which sent the vehicle airborne. The car slammed into two other cars before hitting the side of a hospital parking garage. Glover was charged with felony driving under the influence involving death, assault, burglary and other charges. It wasn’t known if he has a lawyer. The coroner’s office says 33-year-old Vincent Thomas died in the wreck.
