Man Fights Breast Cancer and Wins

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., — ” there were times when i just wanted to give up. there were times when my wife saw me crawling on my stomach across the living room floor to get to the bathroom to regurgitate.” although that was 10 years ago – the memories are still very present for cancer survivor – Ralph Bryant. The self proclaimed sports fanatic admits he felt some pain on his right side but brushed it off as an old sport injury, until he couldn’t ignore it anymore. ” it metastasized year after year after year until it grew to be 8 centimeters. the nurse said it was a hematoma then the doctor looked at it and said it’s cancer. And it’s bad.” Bryant was forced to undergo two separate types chemotherapy, surgery to remove breast tissue and radiation. ” the chemo was so aggressive, it just ate all of the good cells and the bad cells. so now i’m a prisoner in my own body.” but not anymore. now he’s a survivor and is hoping reliving his painful past will save another man from having to live the nightmare – he says he only beat because of his family, answered prayers and his devout faith.” Bryant says he did not have any symptoms that he knew of because he did not know what to look for. Doctors say each case is different, but you may have a lump or mass under the skin and in some cases puss may come from the nipple of the impacted breast.
