Combat Mission Ends

(WOLO) WASHINGTON, D.C. ,– After nearly 13 years… America’s combat mission in Afghanistan is over. President Obama released a statement Sunday to mark the occasion. saying quote, “the longest war in american history is coming to a responsible conclusion.” The president thanked all of the Military men and women who served in Afghanistan since 9-11. He says their efforts have made the U-S more secure and helped the Afghan people reclaim their own communities. although the combat mission is over, the U-S Military will continue to have a limited military presence in Afghanistan.
