Former SC Gov. Jim Edwards Laid to Rest

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WOLO)-James B. Edwards, South Carolina’s first Republican governor since Reconstruction was laid to rest Monday in Charleston. Edwards passed away last Friday at the age of 87. Governor Nikki Haley was among the state dignitaries to attend the services at St. Phillips Church in Charleston. Edwards was limited to one term under state law at the time. Edwards worked under President Ronald Reagan as the Energy secretary.
