(WOLO) CHESTER COUNTY,S.C., — It’s a scene you may have grown accustomed to seeing each year. Store aisles filled with the newest and most popular gift ideas. right in the middle of a sea of shoppers and holiday lights. While most parents peruse aisle after aisle, children hover around Santa Clause to snap pictures and give him their wish list. 9 year old Alex Collins wasn’t one of them. In fact, what Alex really wanted was to take part in a hunting experience being held by Chester County Sheriff, Alex Underwood. An event he’d seen featured on facebook. There was only one problem. The hunting experience wasn’t being held in Alexs’ home town of Chester County Pennsylvania….but instead here…in Chester County South Carolina. The department wasn’t going to let a little distance come between a boy and his wish. Donations reportedly started coming….enough to fly Alex Collins into Charlotte Douglas Airport. He arrived this morning, where the Sheriff greeted him and whisked him away for breakfast and then to pick up his gear for that trip that almost never happened. (Source: Associated Press/Facebook)
