Columbia, SC (WOLO)- Chief Justice Jean Toal has given her final state of the judiciary speech to South Carolina’s legislature. Toal told the lawmakers during a joint house and senate session that the courts have managed to go from no internet service to putting all records online in the past 15 years. She also says she’s encouraged by fast track jury trials and other reforms. Toal will turn 72 in august… which is the mandatory retirement age for judges in South Carolina.
