Big Jump in Gas Prices

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Gas prices have been creeping back up with the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded now at $2.41. South Carolina is averaging $2.11 a gallon according to GasBuddy.com. ABC Columbia News found gas at $1.99 for a gallon of regular at Food Fare, on Hunt Club Road in Columbia. Experts say prices are moving higher because of maintenance at U.S. refineries and it’s expected prices will continue to climb as we head into spring. There is a bit of good news. Producing countries are slowing production, so prices at the pump are likely to stay below three dollars a gallon for a while.
