President Barack Obama Speaks at Benedict: A wrap up of the speech

COLUMBIA, SC ( WOLO ) – – President Barack Obama spoke Friday afternoon to a crowd of students and political leaders in Columbia at Benedict College. The President opened with a speech at the podium addressing the economy, education and the City of Columbia’s My Brothers Keeper initiative. The President then went off the podium into a town hall style forum opening the microphone up to questions from the audience. Among the questions, a 10 year old who asked the President when he thought about becoming President. Also, an attorney from Columbia asking about federal pardons and a student from the University of South Carolina asking about the Micheal Brown case. It was a packed house in the gymnasium at Benedict College. This was the first time the President has visited South Carolina since the 2008.
