Senator Ted Cruz announces 2016 Presidential Campaign

LYNCHBURH, VA–WOLO (AP) Senator Ted Cruz has officially announced his plans to run as a 2016 Presidential Candidate. Cruz is now the first major candidate to enter the race. He made the announcement Monday with a kickoff speech courting cultural conservatives. The 44 year old is a Tea Party Favorite. One of several Republican hopefuls to rise from the tea party movement, Cruz spoke at Liberty University in Virginia, the college founded by the late Rev. Jerry Falwell. He spoke of his religious faith and his father’s Cuban roots, and said his mission is about “reigniting the promise of America.”
