Richland One looking for free lunch sites
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – We’re a little more than a week into the start of spring, but Richland One is already looking ahead to summer. It needs help from organizations in the community to serve as designated sites where kids can get a free lunch. Officials say churches, community centers, city and county parks, and non-profit agencies can apply to be a part of the federally-funded summer feeding program. It runs from June 1st-August 14th. Richland One is encouraging as many organizations as possible to take advantage of this opportunity. Under Departments at www.richlandone.org, click on the link to the Student Nutrition Services page where you can download the application. Fax the completed application to Richland One Student Nutrition Services at (803) 231-6962 or mail it to Richland One Student Nutrition Services, 201 Park Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
