2 shot to death in separate Calhoun Falls shootings
CALHOUN FALLS, S.C. (AP) — Investigators say two people have been shot to death in separate shootings in Calhoun Falls.
The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office told media outlets that the men were shot within about 20 minutes of each other early Sunday morning. Police are trying to determine if the shootings are related.
Authorities say 26-year-old Devincent Hughey was found shot to death in a gas station parking lot around 3:25 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators say 29-year-old Stanley Marshall Jr. was shot about 20 minutes later while riding in a car less than a mile away and died at the hospital. The driver was wounded, and his condition hasn’t been released.
The State Law Enforcement Division is helping Calhoun Falls police investigate the shootings to see if there is a connection between them.
