SLED: Early Suspicions in N. Charleston Shooting

North Charleston, S.C. (WOLO)–SLED Investigators say they knew right away something was not right in what happened in the encounter between a North Charleston police officer and an unarmed man. Officials with SLED say they were concerned with what they found at the the scene of the April 4th shooting death of Walter Scott. SLED Director Mark Keel released this statement Thursday evening, ” There were inconsistencies including what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds to Mr. Scott’s back. We believed early on that there was something not right about what happened in that encounter. The cell phone video shot by a bystander confirmed our initial suspicions.”
