SLED Investigates Police Shooting of Man Stabbing Woman
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) _ The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating a police shooting where officers shot a man who was repeatedly stabbing a woman in a Spartanburg apartment. Authorities say both the man shot by police and the woman being stabbed died around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say they were called to the apartment for a domestic dispute, kicked in the door and saw 41-year-old Donte Noble attacking 32-year-old Katrina Sova with a knife. SLED said in a news release it is awaiting autopsy results of both people killed to determine how they died. SLED says it is the 13th officer-involved shooting in South Carolina this year. There were 42 officers who shot at suspects in 2014.
