Bank Robbery In Columbia

Columbia, SC (WOLO)-Police are investigating a third bank robbery in less than a week and say they are beginning to see a common thread. Today‘s robbery happened shortly after nine-thirty this morning at a Wells Fargo Bank on Garners Ferry Road. Investigators are releasing these surveillance pictures of the suspect. Similar robberies occurred last Friday at First Citizens Bank on Rosewood Drive and then a day later at another Wells Fargo on Garners Ferry Road. In all of the robberies, police say a heavy set black male wearing eyeglasses passes a bank clerk a note, threatening to do physical harm if they don’t comply with his demands.
