Scam Alert In Richland County

Richland County, SC (WOLO)- Sheriff’s deputies want you to be aware of a scam that’s circulating throughout Richland County. Sheriff Leon Lott says con artists are calling residents claiming to be with The Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The caller then tells the victims that they are behind on payments and if they don’t pay they will be arrested. Lott says if you receive this type of call hang up and call The Sheriff’s Department.
