Low Gas Prices Mean Busy 4th Travel

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Low gas prices are contributing to one of the busiest July 4th Holidays in recent years. According to Triple A nearly 541,000 South Carolinians are travelling. The official holiday travel period ends Sunday, July 5, at midnight. Drivers in the Midlands are paying an average of $2.28 a gallon. Along with drivers, South Carolina Troopers are also out in force, with stepped up security on the highways.
